OAGEE is now accepting proposals for fall conference sessions. This year, we have added new online forms to help send your proposals quicker, and get instant confirmation of their receipt.

The call for presenters deadline for the 2010 Fall Conference has just been extended to May 31st.

The OAGEE Fall Conference will take place October 29th and 30th 2010 and will be based out of the Marriott Hotel Conference Center in downtown Ottawa.  The Marriott is also providing discounted conference rates for out of town travelers.  Presentation sessions will run Friday AM, Friday PM and Saturday AM.  The deadline for registration is set for May 14th as a 'last call date'. Please take a look at the online registration forms if you are interested in presenting this fall.

All applicable Presentation/ Workshop proposals will be considered for the conference.  Presentation/ Workshops which are selected for the conference will being given a 'notification of confirmation' by mid-June.  In particular we are encouraging potential presenters to consider providing workshops that focus on the following aspects/topics:

• Local, National and Global Issues
• Physical/ Environmental Issues
• Cultural Geography
• Aboriginal Issues
• French Language Resources
• Geomatics (GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing)
• Curriculum Review
• Print/Online Resources for Teachers
• Evaluation Strategies/Tasks
• Integrating SmartBoard Technologies
• Elementary Workshops (grades 7 and 8 resources)
• Classroom Strategies that work for Grade 7-12 (simulations, activities, fieldwork and labs)
• Differentiated Instruction
